Did the Lord of Glory Receive the World's Acclaim at His Death

I just wonder if Queen Elizabeth's death and the accession to the throne by King Charles III has prophetic significance?

It has been widely reported that the Queen was saved and I sincerely hope that her name is written in the Lamb's Book of Life. Only the King of all Kings and Lord of all Lords knows the individual condition of anyone's heart, King, Queen or pauper and if they are redeemed.

However the Queen"s death at the age of 96 demonstrated that none of us lives forever, no matter our status or position.

The scripture in Hebrews 9v27 comes to mind:

27And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment

At times like this, when we see the well deserved respect and acclaim for the Queen, who devoted her life to service, one can't help but think how little acclaim the Son of God received at His death.

  1. A Roman whipping post

  2. A Roman cross

  3. A borrowed tomb

  4. Humiliated and degraded more than any man

  5. His very beard pulled from His face.

  6. Spat upon.

  7. Stripped naked and hung on a cross for every one to gaze upon.

  8. Reviled - they couldn't even leave my Saviour alone when He was in the most excruciating pain both mentally and physically.

When He was resurrected He appeared to a woman out of whom he had cast 7 demons and to a disciple who denied he even knew Him.

But Mary Magdalene so loved the one who set her free and broke the chains that enslaved her that when Peter and John had left, she stayed and stood outside the tomb weeping.

She so longed, yearned and her heart so grieved for her Lord and Saviour.

This is recorded in John 20v11-18

It says as she stooped down and looked into the tomb, she saw two angels, one at the head and one at the feet of where Jesus had lain.

The angels ask why are you weeping and her reply is filled with love and loss.

Because they have taken away my Lord and I don't know where they have took him v13

She then turned around and Jesus was standing but she thought He was the gardener.

Again with such love and yearning she said, Sir if you have taken Him, I beg you tell me, please tell me where you've taken him that I may take him away and give him a proper burial (paraphrased v16)

Then Jesus spoke the greatest word she had ever heard to that point

Mary!!

He called her by name. She didn't recognise Him in His resurrected body but she recognised His voice. Hallelujah!

John 10v3

3To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out.

As the song says:

He knows my name,

He knows my every thought, He sees each tear that falls,

And hears me when I call

Hallelujah What a Saviour!

He loved me when nobody loved me.

He received me when others rejected me

He forgave me when others despised and wrote me off.

That's Mary Magdalene's testimony, my testimony, your testimony and that of countless millions even billions throughout history.

Mary said, Rabboni which means Master.

Her yearning and longing was satisfied in one person, not in a religion, denomination, church building, no in one person and one only, the Lord Jesus Christ, the Lover and Redeemer of her soul and of our souls!

As the old hymn says:

1O Christ, in Thee my soul hath found,

And found in Thee alone,

The peace, the joy I sought so long,

The bliss till now unknown.

Now none but Christ can satisfy,

None other name for me;

There’s love and life and lasting joy,

Lord Jesus, found in Thee.

2 I sighed for rest and happiness,

I yearned for them, not Thee;

But, while I passed my Savior by,

His love laid hold on me.

3 I tried the broken cisterns, Lord,

But, ah, the waters failed!

E’en as I stooped to drink they fled,

And mocked me as I wailed.

4 The pleasures lost I sadly mourned,

But never wept for Thee,

Till grace the sightless eyes received,

Thy loveliness to see.

HIS LOVE LAID HOLD ON ME!

TILL GRACE MY SIGHTLESS EYES RECEIVED

HIS LOVELINESS TO SEE.

WHAT WORDS!

WHAT A PRECIOUS SAVIOUR AND REDEEMER.

IS HE NOT WORTHY OF ALL THE HONOUR AND GLORY??

If this doesn't touch your heart, if this doesn't cause you to exalt Him and respond with Hallelujah What a Saviour then something is wrong!

V17 when Jesus tells her not to touch Him is a message in it's own right which I won't go into now

In v18 she returns with her longing satisfied and she tells the other disciples, I've seen the Lord!

What a message.

I don't know about you but I want to be used of God in these last days to proclaim to others, I've seen the Lord of Glory.

Only when we seek Him with the all our hearts, long and yearn for Him like Mary, will we know and experience our hearts burning and overflowing with such love and passion and we will then be able to proclaim from personal experience:

I saw the Lord.

He was high and lifted up and His train filled the temple. Isaiah 6

You see it's only when we truly see Him and know Him by divine revelation that we will be effective witnesses and burning and shining lights with a message to proclaim. I have seen the resurrected and glorified Christ for myself!

Hallelujah What a Mighty God and Saviour we serve and love!!!

I was going to write some thoughts about the prophetic significance of Charles coming to the throne at this time but the Spirit of God took me down a totally different route. Maybe later.

I'm so grateful for the precious Holy Spirit.

Holy Spirit take control, take over so that we do what you want not what we want and think should be done. Amen.
